Can you share a personal struggle that impacted your life?

​Going through a divorce with two kids was one of the most challenging times of my life. It felt like my world was crumbling around me as I had to start over both personally and financially. Balancing full-time school, a full-time job, and running my production company felt like walking a tightrope over an abyss, with the constant weight of responsibility threatening to pull me down. I was on the verge of mental and financial collapse, stretched to my absolute limits. There were days when it seemed impossible to keep going, but my love for my children and my passion for my work kept me fighting, even when it felt like I had nothing left to give.

Can you share the biggest career challenge you faced?

​My biggest career challenge was maneuvering multiple corporate mergers and still remaining the Creative Director throughout 7 creative/marketing team mergers. Dealing with the constant "unknown" and the fate of staff was a constant reminder of why I needed to build my own brand.​​

​​​​​What are your top career accomplishments and why?

​My top career accomplishments are my success in guiding and teaching. There is nothing better than to see one of your staff or students reaching their goals personally or professionally.

​​​What are your biggest takeaways from your experience as a manager? 

​My life as a leader left me with a few life lessons. One is that no one is above or below you. You treat the lowest person on the totem pole with the same respect and consideration as the CEO. The second is to listen. Everyone deserves to be heard and listening will help you understand the issues or situations so you can effectively guide your people. Lastly, share the knowledge and raise your staff up. Some managers/teachers hide the “secrets” and that helps no one. Be an open book and watch them grow!     ​​​

​My consulting expertise is in branding, creative processes, marketing, training in digital creation, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Acrobat), InDesign, Print and Digital Publication design.
